WHO BEFORE DO.

Keep the WHO before the DO.

The Plan planner operates off of this important and essential premise. The Christian life is run from a starting point of IDENTITY. Our identity or “who we are” determines our action or “what we do.” In fact, not just “who we are”, but “whose we are” clarifies our purpose, priorities, and practices. Therefore, who we are is primary and what we do, secondary.

As Christians, we will always be disciples and disciple-makers of Jesus regardless of our season of life. We are not just mothers, but Christian mothers. We are not just business people, but Christians who do business. We are not just student-athletes, but Christian student-athletes. Christian is primary and unchanging. The other role is seasonal and somewhat transient. Therefore, we must let the all-important Christian “WHO” influence and instruct the DO. When someone knows the WHO it determines what they do, why they do, and how to do.

FAITHFULNESS FUNNEL.

  • Is your IDENTITY informing your productivity? This is the first and foremost question that informs all productivity. All good planners and planning stem from this all-important question.

  • Are you PRIORITIZING or simply doing? We cannot just do; we must do with purpose and priority in mind. When your identity informs productivity, you begin to act and accomplish with purpose.

  • Is ACCOUNTABILITY producing consistent results? When identity informs productivity, then accountability becomes highly focused and purposeful around what matters most. We want to live accountable lives in all of life, not just parts of it.

Keep faithfulness at the forefront.
